If you frequently copy and paste and wish to locate an image or text that you copied earlier, access your clipboard history.

When you copy text, images, or other items, the item is placed on the clipboard.

When you copy an element, with the keyboard shortcut CTRL + C, for example, you retrieve the element by pasting it somewhere with the shortcut CTRL + V.

However, it is possible to open the clipboard and recover items copied earlier.

Turn on clipboard history

First, you need to enable clipboard history. To do this, click on the Windows + V keys. Click on Turn on in the window that appears.

From now on, as soon as you copy a text, an image or other, it will be stored in your clipboard (Windows + V).

Options

  • You can pin a copied item to your clipboard.
  • The menu (3 dots) allows you to paste an item or remove it from the clipboard.

Retention period

When you turn off your computer, the clipboard empties.
