Do your ideas outpace your typing speed? Reluctant to type? Dictate your messages in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint!

Whether you are writing a report (Word), a presentation or note (PowerPoint) or an email (Outlook), it is possible to dictate your message. No more typing!

On the Home menu (or message for Outlook), click Dictate.

On Outlook :

  • The 1st button is used to start or stop recording.
  • The 2nd button is used to configure the recording.

In the settings, it is possible to:

  • Change the Spoken language
  • Set up your Microphone
  • Enable auto-punctuation (otherwise you have to specify it during the dictation)
  • Filter sensitive phrases: *** will replace these expressions.

*On PowerPoint, you can set only the spoken language.

Click on the microphone to start recording. Youll see the text appear on the screen as you speak.
