Want to convert some of the text to uppercase without having to retype everything? Do it with a keyboard shortcut.

Select text

Click on Shift + F3

By clicking on this combination several times, you get different results.

Writen: Once upon a time

  • Shift + F3 (1 time): ONCE UPON A TIME => all in uppercase
  • Shift + F3 (2 times): once upon a time => all in lowercase
  • Shift + F3 (3 times): Once Upon A Time => First letter of each word in uppercase
  • Shift + F3 (4 times): ONCE UPON A TIME => all in uppercase, we go back to the cycle.

In the ribbon

Click the Change Case button on the Home menu (only on Word and PowerPoint)

To do the same thing in Excel, you‘ll need to go through a formula.
