Display the size of your Outlook mailbox to the effectiveness of your cleanup efforts.
When you start cleaning your mailbox, it is interesting to compare the size of the mailbox before and after cleaning.
To view the size of the mailbox, right–click on your name (or email address) in the left panel. On the shortcut menu, click Data File Properties.
In the window that opens, click Folder Size.
Outlook displays the total size of your mailbox, saved on your computer.
You will find the details of the weight of each file. This allows you to see where the largest volumes are concentrated.
In the same window, click Server Data. The total amount of the mailbox can be larger. Indeed, some of the emails are not stored on the computer but on the exchange server.
Don‘t forget these emails if you want to do a real cleanup.
